Recognizing Achievement in Healthcare Communications
In an increasingly digital world, the ability of healthcare organizations to communicate with the public online is more critical than ever. That’s why Scorpion works hand-in-hand with our partners to build websites and develop marketing strategies that can keep up with industry standards and expectations.
Recently, some of our work on behalf of our clients received recognition at the 21st Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards. The event honors excellence in healthcare communications across 18 different industry classifications. This year’s ceremony was held virtually and sponsored by Greystone.Net. In total, more than 200 organizations were singled out for their achievements.
Gold and Silver Winners Across Two Categories
Scorpion clients won in two categories that reflect current trends in healthcare marketing. The first was for Best Overall Internet Site, in which long-time Scorpion partner North Oaks Health Systems and Opelousas General Health System took home coveted Gold awards.
Both organizations’ (now award-winning) websites reflect the importance of a clean, concise interface while also containing a significant amount of relevant information that may be of interest to the public. With most prospective patients finding healthcare professionals based on internet searches, having a well-designed site is necessary for any hospital system.
The second category that saw Scorpion clients recognized for achievement was Best COVID-19 Pandemic Related Communications. Of course, this is a new category, included due to the unique challenges the coronavirus pandemic presented to the healthcare industry in 2020.
The Scorpion partner, Salinas Valley Memorial, won a Gold award for its informative COVID-19 messaging, and our clients, OU Health and CentraCare, walked away with well-deserved Silver awards.
